What is Walk & Talk Counselling?

Walk and Talk is a counselling session that happens outdoors while walking.

This is a popular counselling option as we feel better when we are moving.

Talking while walking can produce new ideas and more positive thoughts.

Time spent in nature is soothing and provides opportunities for mindfulness that sitting in a consultation room may not.

What to expect from a Walk & Talk Counselling Session

Clients report that they find it easier to open up, feel less anxious and often experience an unexpected sense of invigoration when out walking in nature.

We walk at your pace and take breaks whenever you would like one. Walking needs to be at a fairly leisurely pace so that we are able to chat.

For OH&S reasons walking routes are always fairly level.

I have a few regular walking routes but you are welcome to suggest one of your own.

Sessions can either be one or two hours long.

If you prefer we can simply sit outside in nature to talk.
