You may feel dazed and numb in the days and weeks after the loss of your loved one. There are a lot of details to attend to, and generally there will be people around you trying to support you through this difficult time. And it may be some time afterwards that you find yourself feeling very alone or struggling in some way. Birthdays and anniversaries can be triggering, or sometimes it could be just a song or meeting someone who has not heard the news, that causes overwhelm.
